Description
Retatrutide peptide from Prime Peptides is a GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, supplied as freeze-dried powder in 10mg, 30mg and 60mg vials. Choose the strength you need from the Size menu. Prime Peptides supplies it for in-vitro research only.
What is Retatrutide?
Retatrutide (LY3437943) is a single 39-amino-acid peptide from Eli Lilly that acts on three receptors at once: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. That makes it the first triple hormone receptor agonist to reach late-stage trials.
A fatty acid side chain lets it bind albumin in the blood, which stretches its half-life to about six days and makes once-weekly study possible. It isn’t approved anywhere yet.
How Retatrutide works
Retatrutide hits three receptors with one peptide: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. The first two are incretins that boost glucose-dependent insulin release and, in GLP-1’s case, curb appetite and slow stomach emptying.
The glucagon part is the unusual bit. Glucagon raises energy expenditure and pushes the liver to burn fat, so pairing it with the incretins is meant to work on both sides of energy balance. That’s the main reason researchers compare it with the dual and single agonists.

Published studies on Retatrutide
Jastreboff and colleagues reported the phase 2 obesity trial in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2023. At the highest dose, average weight loss reached 24.2% at 48 weeks, the largest figure any incretin compound had shown at that stage.
A substudy in Nature Medicine (Sanyal and colleagues, 2024) found large drops in liver fat, and a separate phase 2 trial in type 2 diabetes was published in The Lancet in 2023. Lilly’s phase 3 TRIUMPH program is testing it in obesity, diabetes, knee osteoarthritis and sleep apnea.

Retatrutide compared with similar compounds
Retatrutide activates three receptors at once: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. Here’s how the nearest options in our range differ:
- Tirzepatide activates two incretin receptors, GIP and GLP-1
- Semaglutide activates the GLP-1 receptor only and lasts about a week, which makes it the most studied compound in the group
- Eloralintide is a newer long-acting amylin receptor agonist from Lilly, studied for appetite and gastric emptying
- AOD-9604 is a modified 176-191 fragment of growth hormone, studied for fat breakdown without GH’s growth effects
- MOTS-c is a short peptide coded in mitochondrial DNA and linked to AMPK
Each one approaches metabolism from a different side: gut hormone receptors, amylin, a growth hormone fragment or the mitochondria. Compare them in our weight loss peptides.
Retatrutide peptide mixing guide
Start from the 10mg in the vial and pick a volume. These are the concentrations you get:
- 1mL of diluent gives 10mg per mL
- 2mL of diluent gives 5mg per mL
- 3mL of diluent gives 3.333mg per mL
Let the vial reach room temperature, swab the stopper with alcohol and let the diluent run slowly down the inside of the glass. Swirl gently until the solution is clear. Shaking creates foam and can damage the peptide. Prime stocks bacteriostatic water for exactly this step.
Keeping Retatrutide peptide fresh
Unopened Retatrutide peptide keeps best at -20°C. A fridge is fine if you’ll use it soon. After reconstitution it belongs at 2 to 8°C, and most protocols use it up within 28 days.
Keep mixed vials upright so the liquid doesn’t sit against the stopper.
Checking the quality of Retatrutide peptide
On the Prime vial you’ll see the compound name, the words “Lyophilized Powder” and a research-only notice. File the order confirmation with your notes so each vial can be traced to its delivery.
Independent verification usually means HPLC for purity plus mass spectrometry for identity. One without the other only tells half the story.
Write the order number and the date opened on every vial. If a result looks unusual later, you can trace it back to one delivery.
Retatrutide peptide sizes and pricing
Every Retatrutide size we sell is on this page. Choose one from the Size menu next to the cart button:
- Retatrutide 10mg: $110.00 ($11.00 per mg)
- Retatrutide 30mg: $230.00 ($7.67 per mg)
- Retatrutide 60mg: $325.00 ($5.42 per mg)
The smallest vial is the cheapest way to test a method. Once the protocol is fixed, the larger vials cost less per milligram and mean fewer reconstitutions.
