Ipamorelin is a five-amino-acid growth hormone secretagogue, Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, developed at Novo Nordisk in the 1990s. It acts on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) on pituitary cells.
